A young Celebrity Agent to the stars, Ray Moheet of Mitchell K. Stubbs & Associates learned early on the tools for success in the cut-throat industry of Hollywood. Even though he has been fortunate enough to taste success, Ray keeps his goals just out of reach so he guarantees a strong work ethic necessary in achieving the best in all that he does. About the company

I helped start MKS & Associates 7 years ago with Mitchell K. Stubbs. Today MKS & Associates is one of the industries leading boutique agencies. Our client roster consists of an Academy Award winner, a three time Academy Award nominee, Tony winners, Emmy winners, and a healthy number of series regulars starring on television series and of course clients are always doing feature films and theatre (including Broadway).

What are your responsibilities?

Secure meetings/appointments for clients. Negotiate talent deals for film or television. Develop talent. Strategize on client’s careers.

Most notable milestones

Becoming a member of the Academy Of Television Arts & Sciences. The first time I voted for the Emmy’s was a trip.

What's the niche?

We operate on a high level, yet our careers don’t consume our lives. We have created an arena where we can represent top actors with the ability to still maintain a life. We maintain close “managerial type” working relationships with our clients.

What's in store for the future?

More success of course. Onward and upward!

Who would you like to be contacted by?

Anyone who could aid in the success of our clients.

Best way to stay ahead

Always maintain a vision for the future. Always prepare for what may lay ahead.

Passion is to me as 'the force' is to Luke Skywalker.

Guiding principle in life

Always keep your integrity intact no matter what the cost!!!

Yardstick of success

I have been lucky enough to taste success in the entertainment business. Keeping that “yardstick” a few inches away from myself intentionally is a motivational tool. It just makes work harder and harder and allows me to not get too comfortable.

Goal yet to be achieved

To retire young.

Best practical advice

Go after your desires with a passion. Be patient. Great things will come.

Most memorable business experience

Leaving J. Michael Bloom & Associates ten years ago and starting MKS & Associates within twenty-four hours. We literally started an agency overnight. People thought we were crazy. What a journey!!

Mentor

Of course Mitchell K. Stubbs.

What motivates you for success?

My passion drives me each and every day. Passion is such a strong force in my life. Let me use an analogy; Passion is to me as “the force” is to Luke Skywalker.

Like best about what you do

To make a positive impact in a client’s life is such a high. The great team we have at MKS makes it even easier to do the job at hand.

Like least about what you do

It’s always difficult to tell a client that they didn’t land a certain role/project. That can be tough. Especially if things get down to the wire.

At age 10, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Going way back! I remember wanting to be a firefighter!! Boy have things changed!

Leader in business most interested in meeting

I’m not the type that is keenly interested in meeting someone because of the stature they hold. I’m sure we can all learn from everybody around us.

Three interesting facts about yourself

1. I was one of the youngest agents in Hollywood at the age of 23.
2. I love the Discovery Channel.
3. My girlfriend is extremely supportive, amazing and beautiful.
4. Life is good. Oops. That was 4 facts. Oh well.

Three characteristics that describe you

Passionate, Loyal and Confident.

Three greatest passions

Tennis. Basketball. My career.

Favorite book

I really enjoyed reading Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi. It was definitely a unique way of storytelling.
