Successful Performer & Axis of Evil Comedy Tour Part-Owner

Ahmed Ahmed, 36, is in love with his job. The perks of his job include only technically having to work 30 minutes each day, traveling the nation, making people laugh, getting casted on television shows and movies and being interviewed by the likes of the Wall Street Journal, CNN, NPR and The View, just to name a few. If you don't know him already, Ahmed Ahmed is a successful performer and part owner of the Axis of Evil Comedy Tour. He takes some time with The MidEastConnect magazine to share his experiences and words of wisdom. About Ahmed Ahmed

I'm a performer and part owner of the Axis of Evil Comedy Tour.

I have been seen in such films and television shows as Executive Decision, Swingers, Tracey Takes On, Roseanne, JAG, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn on Comedy Central and MTV's PUNK'D. Also appeared on CNN, The View, NPR and was featured on the front page of The Wall Street Journal in December of 2001 and featured in Newsweek Magazine. I will be seen in the upcoming ONION MOVIE for FOX Seachlight. Currently can be seen on the Fahrenheit 9/11 DVD bonus track performing stand up comedy.

What are your day-to-day responsibilities?

Preparing for auditions, producing live events, and writing.

Most notable milestones

Winner of the first annual Richard Pryor Award for ethnic comedy at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival in Scotland summer of 2004. Starting with Vince Vaughn in the Wild West Comedy Show which will be released on Labor Day Weekend, 2007. Also part founder of the Axis of Evil Comedy Tour.

What's the niche?

Being of Middle Eastern heritage and raised Muslim allows raise for a lot of comedy fire.

What's the biggest challenge?

Dealing with negative stereotypes against Middle Eastern and Muslims in the post 9/11 world we live in.

What's in store for the future?

Looking to create television programs and film that star Middle Eastern people in a positive way.

Who would you like to be contacted by?

I would like to be contacted by the head of a major studio or network in order to unite in a project with you. My future wife. As well I would like to be contacted by Oprah Winfrey.

I love making people laugh.

I technically only "work" half an hour a day.

The entertainment industry can be deceiving at times.

A basketball player.

Delivering newspapers.

Cooking.
